About me
I know first-hand the challenges you face in your academic career. I am Elisa and I recently successfully defended my empirical dissertation in communication science. My studies took me to Würzburg and Berlin, where I studied musicology. During my master's thesis with a focus on music psychology, I developed a passion for quantitative-empirical research. However, data analysis felt like a closed book at the time and I can still remember how overwhelming this part of the work was.
From 2019-2022, I worked as a research assistant in the Media and Business Communication program at the Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg and started my PhD in Communication Science, which I completed in 2024. I therefore know exactly how exciting and at the same time stressful the graduation phase can be.
After my time in Würzburg, I moved to the University of Amsterdam (UvA), where I worked as a lecturer in communication sciences with a focus on persuasive communication until the beginning of 2024. I supervised numerous Bachelor's and Master's theses at both universities and am therefore very familiar with the typical challenges and stumbling blocks.
In my teaching career, I have taught several research seminars with a focus on quantitative research methods as well as statistics courses. This experience has shown me how important good supervision and targeted support are in order to successfully navigate through the academic jungle. Whether you are just starting your thesis or have specific questions - I look forward to getting to know you and working together on your success!
